David Smith has snagged a very impressive nod from the top cop in Seminole County.

According to a release from Smith’s campaign earlier today, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma is throwing his support behind the Winter Springs resident.

“David Smith is unquestionably the right person to represent House District 28. He is a strong and smart leader with longstanding ties to this community. As a U.S. Marine myself, I know that his dedication to duty will be unwavering. I am proud to endorse him.”

Smith, a veteran and successful consultant in the modeling and simulation industry, has mounted an aggressive effort to replace current State Representative Jason Brodeur.

Mr. Brodeur is termed out and running for the Florida Senate, after one amassing one of the most prolific list of legislative accomplishments in recent memory.

“I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of Seminole County Sheriff, Dennis Lemma. Our common bond as U.S. Marines is strong, but our mutual commitment to serve the people of Seminole County is even stronger,” Smith told Central Florida Post.
